Abstract
[تتناول هذه المقالة اثنتين من المعالجات لمسرحية هاملت أمير الدانمرك لوليم شكسبير، هما: التغريد والأغنية للكاتب النيجيري فيمي أوسوفيسان (۱۹۷۷) وﻣﺆتمر آل هاملت للكاتب الكويتي سليمان البسام (۲۰۰۲). وقد كتبت المسرحيتان باللغة الٳنجليزية، في حين أنهما تنتميان ٳلى المسرح السياسي المنشغل ﺑﺂلام الوطن، وتعالجان هموماً نيجيرية وعربية أصيلة. تقدم المقالة قراءة جديدة لمسرحية أوسوفيسان بوصفها تنويعة على لحن هاملت، ثم تعمل على مقارنتها بمسرحية البسام من حيث علاقة كل منهما بالمسرحية الأم، ومن حيث تفاعل الكاتبين، النيجيري والعربي، مع النص الشكسبيري . This article deals with two adaptations of Shakespeare's "Hamlet: The Chattering and the Song" (1977) by Nigerian writer Femi Osofisan and "Al-Hamlet Summit" (2002) by Kuwaiti writer Sulayman Al-Bassam. The article offers a new reading of Osofisan's play which unravels the intertextuality between the play and "Hamlet", then proceeds to compare the Nigerian adaptation to the Arabic one, in terms of how each of the two dramatists adapted the Shakespearean text, producing a "mouse trap" of their own.]
