Abstract

[This article examines the dynamics of ekphrastic adaptation in Pakistani poetry in English through exploring the methods and concerns of poets who transfer the visual representation of an object of art into the medium of poetry, using poems on tapestry, artifact, sculpture, music, and film. The study analyzes the way the poet engages in recreating the artist's visual or aural representation. Ekphrasis gives voice to the voiceless, and animates frozen forms, thus establishing that the best way to apprehend reality is through illusion. تتناول هذه المقالة آليات اقتباس الفنون البصرية أدبياً في الشعر الپاكستاني المكتوب بالٳنجليزية، محللة أساليب الشعراء الذين يقومون بهذا الاقتباس واهتماماتهم، من خلال التركيز على أمثلة من القصاٮٔد التي تتناول: فنون النسيج، الفنون اليدوية، النحت، الموسيقى والسينما. كما تحلل المقالة طريقة الشاعر في ٳعادة بناء رﺅية الفنان البصرية أو السمعية، وأثر الاقتباس على آليات الأعمال ﺍﻟﻤﻘﺘﺒَﺴﺔ. وتكشف المقالة عن قدرة هذا النوع من الاقتباس على استنطاق من لا صوت له وٳحياء الأشكال الجامدة، موضحة في النهاية أن الوهم هو أفضل طرق فهم الحقيقة .]
