Abstract
[Unlike Muslim travel-writers who departed heading East, usually on pilgrimage to Mecca, the Sufis did not write accounts of their travels. Sufis like Ibn 'Arabi wrote about spiritual geography. Hence, when Ibn 'Arabo explores the theme of travel, he enters into realm where space is transformed into time: The act of travel leads him backward to the moment of creation and forward to the anticipated moment of his own death. These particular features of the travel motif in Sufi literature contribute to shape a Subject that is as large as the world. ﻛﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﺮﺣﺎﻟﺔ ﺍﻟﻜﺘﺎﺏ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﻠﻤﻴﻦ ﻛﺜﻴﺮﺍﹰ ﻣﺎ ﻳﻨﻄﻠﻘﻮﻥ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺸﺮﻕ ﺍﻷﻭﺳﻂ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﻐﺮﺏ ﻣﺘﺠﻬﻴﻦ ﺷﺮﻗﺎﹰ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻣﻜﺔ، ﻓﻲﺍ ﻟﻐﺎﻟﺐ ﺑﻐﻴﺔ ﺃﺩﺍﺀ ﺍﻟﺤﺞ٠ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻌﻜﺲ ﻣﻨﻬﻢ ﻟﻢ ﻳﻜﺘﺐ ﺍﻟﺼﻮﻓﻴﺔ ﺗﻘﺎﺭﻳﺮﻋﻦ ﺃﺳﻔﺎﺭﻫﻢ، ﺑﺎﻟﺮﻏﻢ ﻣﻦ ﻛﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﻜﺜﻴﺮﻳﻦ ﻣﻨﻬﻢ ﺭﺣﺎﻟﺔ ﻏﺎﻳﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻨﺸﺎﻁ٠ ﻛﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﺼﻮﻓﻴﺔ، ﻭﻻﺳﻴﻤﺎ ﺍﺑﻦ ﻋﺮﺑﻲ، ﻳﻜﺘﺒﻮﻥ ﻋﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﻐﺮﺍﻓﻴﺎ ﺍﻟﺮﻭﺣﻴﺔ٠ ﻟﺬﺍﻟﻚ، ﻓﻌﻨﺪﻣﺎ ﻳﻜﺘﺐ ﺍﺑﻦ ﻋﺮﺑﻲ ﻋﻦ ﺍﻟﺴﻔﺮ ﻭﺍﻟﺮﺣﻠﺔ ﻓﻬﻮ ﻳﺪﻟﻒ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻋﺎﻟﻢ ﻳﺘﺤﻮﻝ ﻓﻴﻪ ﺍﻟﻤﻜﺎﻥ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺯﻣﺎﻥ، ﻓﻴﻘﻮﺩﻩ ﻓﻌﻞ ﺍﻟﺴﻔﺮ ﻧﺤﻮ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺿﻲ، ﺇﻟﻰ ﻟﺤﻈﺔ ﺑﺪﺀ ﺍﻟﺨﻠﻔﻴﺔ، ﻭﻧﺤﻮ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﺘﻘﺒﻞ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﺤﻈﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﺴﺒﻖ ﻣﻮﺗﻪ ﺍﻟﻤﻘﺪﻭﺭ٠ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﺴﻤﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺨﺎﺻﺔ ﺑﺎﺳﺘﺨﺪﺍﻡ ﻣﻮﺗﻴﻔﺔ ﺍﻟﺮﺣﻠﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻷﺩﺏ ﺍﻟﺼﻮﻓﻲ ﺃﺳﻬﻤﺖ ﻓﻲ ﺇﻧﺸﺎﺀ ﺫﺍﺕ ﻓﺎﻋﻠﺔ ﺭﺣﻴﺒﺔ ﺭﺣﺎﺑﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ٠]
