Abstract

This project aims to enhance the learning experience of Modern Egyptian History by creating an alternative educational tool. It helps students grasp given historical material in an efficient and visual manner through the use of information design. Research studies demonstrated that students learn at different paces and with their own individualistic learning patterns and techniques. As a result, this project explores ways in which content can be analyzed, broken down, and reconstructed in a way that stimulates information recall and simplifies the studying process for any student. There are various visual components introduced in the publication that help ensure utmost benefit of knowledge retention for students. These elements include maps, infographics, images, iconography, and diagrams. Additionally, historical events were categorized into themes that highlight related motifs, patterns, and recurrences to help students draw their own individual conclusions, which helps facilitate the process of lifelong learning.
