Title
The Compound Phenomenon
Student Status
Undergraduate
Abstract
This project highlights the phenomena of increased gated community advertising in Egypt and the nature of the content included within the advertisements, by satirically portraying the main mediums within which gated community advertising takes place. This project stands as a statement against the phenomena of overexposing life within a gated community while taking precedence over life outside of it. Thus, the aim of the project is to underscore the absurdity of the product advertised in regards to the unfounded claims of services and amenities intended, the oversupply vis a vis the insufficient demand, and the subtle dismissal of the exorbitant prices demanded
