Abstract

Let p, c be distinct odd primes, and l ≥ 2 an integer. We find suffcient conditions for the Diophantine equation cyl = φp (x) = xp-1/x-1 = = xp-1 + xp-2 + · · · + 1 not to have integer solutions.
