Abstract

تتناول هذه المقالة «الأختية» بين لطيفة الزيات (١٩٢٣-١٩٩٦) ورضوى عاشور(١٩٤٦-٢٠١٤) ، من خلال تتبع العلاقة بينهما في النصوص وما وراء النصوص ، لما فيها من جمع بين الخاص والعام، وبين الشخصي والسياسي. تستكشف المقالة المواطن التي تذكر فيها كل منهما الأخرى بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر، كما تعتمد على لقاءات تليفونية وشخصية مع صديقاتهما لتصل إلى طبيعة العلاقة. تركِّز المقالة على الأختية بوصفها محاولة لإصلاح العلاقة التقليدية بين الأم والابنة، التي تأثرت سلباً بفعل النظام الأبوي في ذاكرة كل من الكاتبتين. كما تستكشف أثر هذه العلاقة في عملهما السياسي المشترك.

This article examines the sisterhood between Latifa al-Zayyat (1923-1996) and Radwa Ashour (1946-2014), by tracing their relationship on the textual and metatextual levels, as one that brings together the private and the public, the personal and the political. It follows direct and indirect references that the two authors make to one another in their creative writings, and draws upon phone calls and personal interviews with their friends to reveal the nature of their relationship. The article demonstrates how their sisterhood reforms traditional mother-daughter relationships, negatively impacted by patriarchy in both their memories, and the influence of that relationship on their common political struggle.
