Abstract

[تدرس هذه المقالة الجسد المريض الذي تتنازعه كلٌّ من سلطتي الثقافة ومؤسسة الطب الحديث أو الإمبريقي ، وكيف يتبع هذا النزاع تحولات تطول العناصر المعنية بهذا الجسد ، كالعائلة ، والطبيب ، والأطقم الصحية المحيطة ، التي على الرغم من مأسستها ، لا تزال قاصرة عن تفسير ظواهر تتصدى لها الثقافة . تهدف المقالة الي إظهار العلاقات بين السلطتين في المجموعة القصصية بنت الساحرة للقاص والطبيب السوري عبد السلام العجيلي ، إذ نجد في سرديات الموت والمرض بهذه النصوص ، التي غالباً ما يكون أبطالها أطباء ، ذلك الصرا ع بين العلم التجريبي والماورائيات . This article examines the ill body torn between the cultural system and the modern institution of empirical medicine in the short story collection Bint al-saḥira by Syrian novelist and doctor ‘Abd al-Salām al-‘Ujaylī. It highlights how this confrontation results in transformations that affect elements related to the body, such as family, medical doctors, and administrative staff. It demonstrates how the modern medical institution can fall short of explaining phenomena that culture on the other hand is able to address. The article thus examines characters’ narratives of death and illness to highlight the tensions between empirical science and the metaphysical in al-‘Ujaylī’s stories.]
