Abstract

[This article explores three novels by Inaam Kachachi in order to analyze the way death interacts with the problematics of exile, such as loss of identity and the questioning of spatiotemporal landmarks. It tackles different thematic representations of death in these novels. The article argues that death reinforces identity ties through the emotional function of the cemetery and repatriation of the body to the homeland. It also demonstrates how death preserves the memory of the country and its culture. The gravity of death in Kachachi’s work is stylistically used to evoke the characters’ distress within the dark historical context in which they live. من خلال تحليل ثلاث روايات للكاتبة إنعام كجه جي ، تركِّز هذه المقالة على دراسة تداخل موضوع الموت مع إشكاليات أدب المنفى ، مثل فقدان الهوية واختلال المعايير الزمانية والمكانية . وعبر دراسة تمثّلات الموت من الناحية السردية في الروايات ، تشير المقالة إلى دوره في تعزيز الهوية من خلال الوظيفة المعنوية للمقبرة وما تمثله عودة الجثمان إلى الوطن الأم . كذلك يحث الموت من ناحية أخرى على الحفاظ على ذاكرة الوطن وثقافته . أخيراً ، توضّح المقالة توظيف هذه الروايات للبعد التراجيدي للموت ورهبته في استخدامات مجازية ، بهدف إبراز أحداث مهمة في السرد ، وللتعبير عن حالة اليأس التي تعاني منها الشخصيات في سياق تاريخي قاتم .]
