[.تهدف هذه المقالة إلى عرض وتحليل إمكانات تطبيق نظرية الألعاب على النصوص الأدبية والتحديات التي قد تقف حيال ذلك. وتوضح كيف أن النظرية التي ولدت في مجال الرياضيات والاقتصاد قد بدأت تشق طريقها إلى الإنسانيات بشكل عام والأدب بشكل خاص، الأمر الذي جعل النظرية وتطبيقها علي الأدب محل نقد ودراسة ما بين مؤيد ومعارض. تتناول المقالة إيجابيات تطبيق النظرية على النص الأدبي - مثل التفسير العقلاني للسلوك البشري والنظر إلى الأمور الحياتية بطريقة ممنهجة مسبقاً - كما تلقي الضوء على العقبات التي تعترض الباحثين حال تطبيق النظرية، مثل صعوبة منهجة العمل الأدبي وإغفال العوامل العاطفية والسيكولوجية، والتعارض مع المدارس النقدية الأخرى This article deals with the challenges of using Game Theory in literary analysis, given the theory’s focus on mental strategies as means of conflict resolution and interest maximization. Tracing its historical background, the article shows how the theory, initially born in the field of economy, gradually inched towards the Humanities in general and literature in particular. The article surveys a number of studies which both advocate and criticize Game Theory as a critical framework of literary interpretation. Primary among its limitations are the mecha nization of literary analysis, disregard for the spontaneity of literary production, and the theory’s incompatibility with other critical schools.]
