Abstract

[.تواجه الدول العربية العديد من العقبات أمام تحسين جودة تعليم العلوم والرياضيات وغيرها من المواد، من بينها تحديات مرتبطة باللغة. فاللغة أداة تواصل وتفكير، وعلى المعلم والمتعلم إتقان استخدامها في التعليم والتعلم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يتم التعليم في سياقات ذات تعدد لغوي عندما تدرس هذه المواد بلغة أجنبية، وحتى عندما يتم التدريس باللغة العربية بسبب ظاهرة ثنائية اللغة العربية : ديجلوسيا. تخلق هذه السياقات اللغوية تحديات تربوية متعددة يصعب تخطيها بسبب قلة الأبحاث في هذا الموضوع. توجز هذه المقالة برنامجاً بحثياً يسلط الضوء على الدور الخاص للغويات التربوية بوصفه مقاربة لدراسة اللغة والتعليم تساعد على سد هذه الفجوة Many obstacles to improving the quality of teaching science and mathematics pose themselves in the Arab world, including language-related challenges. As a tool for communication and thinking, language must be used effectively by teachers and students. However, challenges of teaching in multilingual settings arise due to either the use of foreign languages in instruction or diglossia, when Arabic is used. Given the limited research in the Arab region addressing such issues, this article outlines a research program that draws attention to the role of Educational Linguistics as an approach to the study of language in education that can help fil this gap.]
