[تبحث المقالة ديناميات إعادة إنتاج صورة إدوارد سعيد ﻓﻲ الثقافة العربية من خلال دراسة الترجمات العربية الثلاث لكتاب Representations of the Intellectual التي ظهر تحت عناوين صور المثقف ، والآلهة التي تفشل دائماً ، والمثقف والسلطة . وتستخدم الترجمات ﻋﻨﺎﺻﺮ لغوية وغير لغوية paratexts مصاحبة تساهم بدورها في إعادة إنتاج صورة الكاتب وكتابه . وتحاول هذه المقالة الإجابة على سؤال ما إذا خضع النص الأصلي فعلاً لتأطير من نوﻉﹴ ما ليلائم غايات المنتج العربي وتعتمد على نظرية السرد لتوصيف إعادة الإنتاج تلك ، مستعيرةً مفهوﻣﻲ التأطير والعناصر المحيطة بالنص بوصفهما أداتين أساسيتين للتقصي والتحليل . This article explores the dynamics of reproducing the image of Edward Said in the Arab culture by examining the three Arabic translations of Representations of the Intellectual, which appeared under three different titles in Arabic: Images of the Intellectual, The Gods that Always Fail, The Intellectual and the Authorities. The different titles signal the different narratives elaborated in the translations, which are reinforced by other linguistic and non-linguistic paratextual elements to reframe the image of the text and its author. These elements are examined through the conceptual tools of Narrative Theory, supplemented by the concept of framing and Genette's work on paratexts.]
