Abstract

[This article examines intersections between emerging Syrian fictional and journalistic productions, focusing on Samar Yazbek's Bawwabat ard al-'adam (The Crossing); 'Abdulla Maksur's Ayyam fi Baba 'Amr (Days in Baba Amr) and 'A'id ila Halab (Retuning to Aleppo); 'Adnan Farzat's Kan al-ra'is sadiqi (The President Was My Friend); and Ibtisam Tirisi's Mudun al-yamam (Cities of Doves). The article proposes multiple models of maps, the most important of which is the interactive map the novels draw, thus opening a dialogue between the self and place, the private and the public. Further, it invites reflections on the role of this production in documenting the memory of the revolution and Syrian identity formation. تتناول هذه المقالة التقاطعات الروائية والصحفية السورية الناشئة ، مركزة على نصوص بعينها : بوابات أرض العدم لسمر ﻳﺰﺑﻚ ؛ أيام في بابا عمرو وعائد إﻟﻰ حلب لعبد الله مكسور ؛ كان الرئيس صديقي لعدنان فرزات ؛ ومدن اليمام لابتسام تريسي . تتناول المقالة ظهور عدة نماذج لخرائط متعددة ، من أهمها الخريطة التفاعلية التي نجحت النصوص في رسمها ، ففتحت بذلك حواراً بين الذات والمكان ، والخاص والعام . وإذ تكشف المقالة عن هذه التقاطعات الروائية والصحفية الناشئة ، فإنها تثير التأمل في دور هذا النتاج في آليات توثيق ذاكرة الثورة وتشكيل الهوية السورية ومستقبلها .]
