Abstract

[This article taps into the equivocal relationship between literature and journalism through the concept of (un)canonicity, specifically in the literary journals of 'Abdallāh al-Nadīm and Ya'qūb Ṣannū'. It emphasizes the juxtaposition of such (un)canonicity with notions like the value of the literary/journalistic text and the criteria for assigning such a text value as "canonical." The author also raises relevant questions relating to the notions of authorship, the reading public, the public sphere, journals as literary salons in relation to the journalistic work of al-Nadīm and Ṣannū' within the context of the Arab Nahḍa. تتناول هذه المقالة التباس العلاقة بين الأدب والصحافة من خلال حضور المعيارية الأدبية وغيابها في مجلات عبد ﷲ النديم ويعقوب صنوع الأدبية على وجه التحديد ؛ حيث تركز على تقاطع هذه المعيارية مع مفاهيم مثل القيمة بين النص الأدبي والصحفي ، وارتباط ذلك باعتبار هذا النص أو ذلك ((مُعْتمَداً)) ومحددات ذلك . تطرح المقالة أيضاً تساؤلات ذات صلة بشأن مفهوم المؤلف (أو التأليف) وجمهور القراء والمجال العام والصحف بوصفها صالونات أدبية ، وكذلك الشفاهية والكتابية فيما يتصل ﺑﺼﺤﺎﻓﺔ النديم وصنوع داخل سياق النهضة العربية الحديثة .]
