Abstract

[This article examines the role played in the 1990s by the widely read and influential Cairene cultural newspaper Akhbar al-adab in the making of narratives about Egypt's "nineties generation" of writers. Drawing on scholarship on Egyptian literary journalism and the literary interview as a genre, the article examines the newspaper's "Malamih Jil" series of interviews with writers generally affiliated with this generation. With the publication of these interviews, itself an act in Egypt's literary scene, the complexly polyvocal claims and narratives about the individual writers and their generation helped produce and interrogate the boundaries of what constituted the "nineties generation." تتناول هذه المقالة الجريدة الثقافية الأسبوعية ذات التأثير واسع النطاق في فترة التسعينيات أخبار الأدب ودورها في تحديد ورﺳﻢ صورة الحركة الأدبية الناشئة المسماة ﺑ((جيل التسعينيات)) . واعتماداً على دراسات الصحافة الأدبية في مصر، واستناداً إلى نموذج الحوار الأدبي بوصفه جنساً أدبياً مميزاً ، ﺗﺮﻛّﺰ المقالة على سلسلة ((ملامح جيل)) ، وهي مجموعة من الحوارات الأدبية مع كتّاب ينتمون إلى جيل التسعينيات . تتناول الكاتبة دور هذه السلسلة في عرض أصوات وآراء متعددة ومركبة لكتّاب هذا الجيل ، مما أسهم في تشكيل ما يعرف بجيل التسعينيات الأدبي وتمييزه ، ومما جعل نشر السلسلة حدثاً أدبياً في حد ذاته .]
