Abstract

[This article considers the extent to which Manuel Puig's Kiss of the Spider Woman sends out clear echoes of classical and postmodern views of friendship and its political relevance, particularly those of Hannah Arendt, the German-American political theorist. The article examines the political significance of the exceptional friendship between Molina, an effeminate homosexual, and Valentin, a Marxist revolutionary, two prisoners in a notorious prison in Buenos Aires, against the backdrop of the novel's political context. It further analyzes the novel's use of dialogue, a technique that mirrors the distinctive activity of friends and successfully integrates the novel's form and content. ﺗﺪﺭﺱ هذه المقالة ﺇﻟﻰ ﺃﻱ ﻣﺪﻯ ﺗﻌﻜﺲ ﺭﻭﺍﻳﺔ ﻘﺒﻠﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺮﺃﺓ ﺍﻟﻌﻨﻜﺒﻮﺕ ﻟﻤﺎﻧﻮﻳﻞ ﭘﻮﻳﺞ، ﻭﺗﺘﺮﺍﺳﻞ ﻣﻊ، ﺍﻵﺭﺍﺀ ﺍﻟﻜﻼﺳﻴﻜﻴﺔ ﻭﺁﺭﺍﺀ ﻣﺎﺑﻌﺪ ﺍﻟﺤﺪﺍﺛﺔ ﺣﻮﻞ ﻇﺎﻫﺮﺓ ﺍﻟﺼﺪﺍﻗﺔ ﻭﺻﻠﺘﻬﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﺔ، ﻭﺑﺨﺎﺻﺔ ﺁﺭﺍﺀ ﺣﻨﺔ ﺁﺭِﻧْﺪﺕ، ﺍﻟﻤﻨﻈﱢﺮﺓ ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻴﺔ ﺍﻷﻣﺮﻴﻜﻴﺔ ﺍﻷﻟﻤﺎﻧﻴﺔ. ﺘﺪﻮﺭ ﺃﺣﺪﺍﺙ ﺍﻟﺮﻭﺍﻳﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻓﺘﺮﺓ ﺍﻟﻌﻨﻒ ﻭﺍﻟﻘﻤﻊ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻤﻴﺰ ﺑﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﻨﺎﺥ ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻲ ﻓﻲﺍﻷﺭﺟﻨﺘﻴﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺴﺒﻌﻴﻨﻴﺎﺕ، ﻣﺘﻤﺤﻮﺭﺓً ﺣﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﺼﺪﺍﻗﺔ ﺍﻹﺳﺘﺜﻨﺎﺋﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻨﺸﺄ ﺑﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﺴﺠﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺜﻠﻲ ﻣﻮﻟﻴﻨﺎ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﻌﺘﻘﻞ ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻲ ﭬﺎﻟﻨﺘﻴﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺯﻧﺰﺍﻧﺔ ﺃﺣﺪ ﺍﻟﺴﺠﻮﻥ ﺳﻴﺌﺔ ﺍﻟﺴﻤﻌﺔ، ﻭﺩﻭﺭﻫﺎ ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻲ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺮﻭﺍﻳﺔ. ﺗﺤﻠﻞ ﺍﻟﻤﻘﺎﻟﺔ ﺍﺳﺘﺨﺪﺍﻢ ﺍﻟﺮﻭﺍﻳﺔ ﻟﻠﺤﻮﺍﺭ ﻣﻦ ﺣﻴﺚ ﻫﻮ ﺃﺳﻠﻮﺏ ﺳﺮﺩ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻌﻈﻢ ﺃﺟﺰﺍﺀ ﺍﻟﺮﻭﺍﻳﺔ ﺑﻮﺻﻔﻪ ﺍﻧﻌﻜﺎﺳﺎﹰ ﻟﻠﻨﺸﺎﻃ ﺍﻟﻤﻤﻴﺰ ﻟﻠﺼﺪﺍﻗﺔ، ﻣﻤﺎ ﻳﺤﻘﻖ ﺍﺗﺴﺎﻗﺎً ﺑﻴﻦ ﺷﻜﻠﻬﺎ ﻭﻣﻀﻤﻮﻧﻬﺎ .]
