Abstract

[Under the format of a written interview, the author answers questions relating to Ancient Egyptian literature and its place in World Literature. She presents the different literary genres of the corpus giving explanatory examples to underline the variety and the beauty of the texts. She compares her examples to texts from neighboring cultures in order to assess the impact of interaction among these cultures. She traces echoes from Ancient Egyptian literature in the folklore of modern Egypt. The author also reflects on the current situation of Egyptian Egyptology with its pros and cons as observed through her long career. تجيب الكاتبة - في سياق مقابلة تحريرية - على أسئلة متعلقة بالأدب المصري القديم وموقعه في أدب العالم. فهي تقدم الأجناس الأدبية المختلفة في هذا المجال، معطيةً عدداً من الأمثلة التفسيرية للتأكيد على تنوع النصوص وجمالها. كما تقوم بمقارنتها بنصوص أخرى من ثقافات مجاورة من أجل أن تقيّم تأثير تفاعلها مع تلك الثقافات. كذلك تتتبع الكاتبة أصداء الأدب المصري القديم في أدب مصر الحديثة الشعبي. وفي إجابتها عن بعض الأسئلة تحديداً، تفسر الكاتبة الوضع الراهن لعلم المصريات المصري بما له وما عليه كما تراه هي من خلال مشوارها المهني الطويل .]
