Abstract

[This article posits the field of cultural criticism not as a critical school or simple theory, but as a long, complex, and polyphonic process. It focuses on the life and work of Raymond Williams, one of the key figures who shaped its tenets and provided it with potency and legitimacy, highlighting the intersection among the personal, political, and professional in his life. It introduces his major work, ideas, and theories and locates them in the socio-cultural, political, and cultural context and critical contributions and theories of the period. The article also provides an overview of Williams's contributions to drama, fiction, revolution, and television. تقدم هذه الدراسة النقد الثقافي ليس باعتباره مدرسة نقدية أو نظرية بسيطة، وإنما باعتباره ﺻﻴﺮورة طويلة معقدة ومتعددة الأصوات . تركز المقالة على حياة الناقد ﺍﻟﺒﺮﻳﻄﺎﻧﻲ رايموند وليامز وأعماله باعتباره أحد أبرز النقاد والكتاب الذين ﻟﻌﺒﻮﺍ دورﺍﹰ محورﻳﺎﹰ في صياغة مفاهيم النقد الثقافي، مركزةﹰ على التقاطع بين الشحصي والسياسي والمهني في حياته . وتقدم المقالة أعماله الرئيسية وافكاره ونظرياته مع موضعتها في سياقاتها المعرفية، النقدية منها واﻟﻨﻈﺮﻳﺔ، وما كان يدور في المرحلة التي بزغت فيها وتتتبع الدراسة بشيء من التفصيل إسهاماته في المسرح والرواية وﺍﻟﺜﻮﺭﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻠﻔﺰﻳﻮﻥ .]
