Abstract

[Mohammed Khaïr-Eddine's fiction offers an unusual, less fixed, and less unified articulation of the question of space as related to culture and identity. The article argues that his vision of community comprises the overlapping spaces of language, culture, and geography. The question of identity in his works is not founded on ethnicity, language, religion, or history, but rather on the position vis-à-vis the other. The article subverts the archaic sociopolitical order that underpins people's understanding of themselves. This, in turn, undermines the post-independence resistance to change rooted in the claim of a fixed identity in the name of authenticity and specificity. It enounces the possibility of new forms of co-existence through the inter-subjective experience that literature makes possible. يطرح الكاتب المغربي محمد خير الدين في رواياته المكتوبة بالفرنسية مسألة الفضاء الثقافي - اللغوي في علاقته مع الهوية من منظور يختلف عن المنظور السائد الذي ﻳﻨﻈﺮ إلى العالم على أنه ﻣﻌﻄﻰ ﻗﺒﹾﻠﻲ ولاتاريخي . تطرح هذه المقالة نظرة محمد خير الدين لمسألة الهوية الثقافية اﻟﺘﻲ تشمل تداخل المجالات اللغوية والثقافية والجغرافية . فمسألة الهوية فى كتاباته لا تنبنى على العرق أو الإثنية أو اللغة أو الدين أو ﺍﻟﺘﺎﺭﻳﺦ، بل على الموقف المتحول من الآخر . وﺗﺒﻌﺎﹰ لذلك يحدث الرواﺋﻲ اضطراﺑﺎﹰ كبيراﹰ في النظام ﺍﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻲ - اﻹجتماعي القديم الذي تنبني عليه نظرة الناس وفهمهم ﻷنفسهم بوﺻﻔﻬﻢ مجتمعاﹰ، مزعزعاﹰ ظاهرة مقاومة التغيير في مرحلة ما بعد اﻹستقلال التي تعتبر الثقافة والهوية غير قابلتين للتطور والتغيير، وذلك ﺑﺈسم الذاﻛﺮﺓ والامعالة واﻷﺻﺎلة واﻟﺨﺼﻮصية . كما ﺗﺆﺳﺲ كتاباته لإمكان إحداث اشكال جديدة للتعايش في ظل التجربة المشتركة التي يتيحها الادب .]
