Abstract

[In this testimony, the poet expounds his belief that writing for children is a safe bet on the human future which aims at achieving positive human values. He enumerates the various stages his writing has undergone, since the mid 1960s to the present, focusing on his work with Egyptian children's magazines: Mickey and Samir. Despite his belief that writing for children should seek to spark their imagination, ingraining values without being didactic, he - due to the socio-political situation in the Arab World - endeavors to establish a resistance culture that can achieve human freedom and dignity through noble values and knowledge. ﻳﻘﺮّﺭ ﺍﻟﺸﺎﻋﺮ ﺃﻥ ﺍﻟﻜﺘﺎﺑﺔ ﻟﻠﻄﻔﻞ ﺭﻫﺎﻥ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺴﺘﻘﺒﻞ ﺣﻴﺎﺓ ﺇﻧﺴﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻳﺤﺪﻭﻫﺎ ﺍﻟﺴﻌﻲ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻖ ﻗﻴﻢ ﺍﻟﺤﻖ ﻭﺍﻟﺨﻴﺮ ﻭﺍﻟﺠﻤﺎﻝ٠ ﻭﻳﺴﺮﺩ ﺍﻟﻤﺮﺍﺣﻞ ﺍﻟﻤﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﻣﺮﺕ ﺑﻬﺎ ﺗﺠﺮﺑﺘﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻜﺘﺎﺑﺔ ﻟﻠﻄﻔﻞ ﻣﻨﺬ ﻣﻨﺘﺼﻒ ﺍﻟﺴﺘﻴﻨﻴﺎﺕ ﺣﺘﻰ ﺍﻵﻥ ﻭﺩﺧﻮﻟﻪ ﻋﺎﻟﻢ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﻌﻤﻞ ﻣﻊ ﻣﺠﻠﺘﻲ ﻣﻴﻜﻲ ﻭﺳﻤﻴﺮ٠ ﺛﻢ ﻳﺘﻨﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﺸﺎﻋﺮ ﺑﻌﺪ ﺫﻟﻚ ﺗﺠﺎﺭﺑﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻜﺘﺎﺑﺔ ﻟﻠﻄﻔﻞ، ﺩﺍﺧﻞ ﻣﺼﺮ ﻭﺧﺎﺭﺟﻬﺎ٠ ﻭﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺮﻏﻢ ﻣﻦ ﺇﻳﻤﺎﻧﻪ ﺑﺄﻥ ﺍﻟﻜﺘﺎﺑﺔ ﻟﻠﻄﻔﻞ ﻳﻨﺒﻐﻲ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺴﻌﻰ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺇﺷﻌﺎﻝ ﺧﻴﺎﻟﻪ ﻭﺗﺴﺮﻳﺐ ﺍﻟﻘﻴﻢ، ﺩﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﻠﺠﻮﺀ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﻟﻮﻋﻆ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻮﺟﻴﻪ ﺍﻟﻤﺒﺎﺷﺮ، ﻓﺈﻧﻪ - ﺑﺴﺒﺐ ﺍﻟﻈﺮﻭﻑ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﹼﺘﻲ ﻳﻤﺮّ ﺑﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ ﺍﻟﻌﺮﺑﻲ - ﻳﺴﻌﻰ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺗﺄﺳﻴﺲ ﺛﻘﺎﻓﺔ ﻣﻘﺎﻭﻣﺔ ﺗﺆﻣﻦ ﺑﺎﻟﻘﻴﻢ ﺍﻟﻨﺒﻴﻠﺔ ﻭﻗﺪﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺮﻓﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﻘﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻖ ﺃﻫﺪﺍﻑ ﺍﻟﺤﺮﻳﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺤﻴﺎﺓ ﺍﻹﻧﺴﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﻜﺮﻳﻤﺔ٠]
