Abstract

['Abd al-'Azim Anis exemplifies the trajectory of an Egyptian intellectual who combined social concerns with a scientific and mathematical career as well as engaging in a critical appraisal of literature. He worked towards an Arab vision of Marxism which takes into consideration the specific needs of Egypt and the Arab World. His approach to radicalism shunned ready-made dogma and the personality cult, and sought to forge a popular and democratic movement organically linked to its environment. Anis wrote about himself and his life in different genres: letters from prison, essays, and interviews. The article draws on the different autobiographical writing of Anis-depicting his early upbringing, his education, and his struggle-to draw the profile of a man who has academic, political and artistic interests and stature. The article shows that the fundamental concern of Anis is tapping the energy of his people. /السيرة الذاتية لعبد العظيم أنيس هي سيرة ذاتية متفردة لمفكر مناضل، ربط بين الفكر اﻻجتماعي والمنهج العلمي الرياضي والمتابعة النقدية للإبداع الأدبي في تكامل متسق٠ وظل تفرده يعكس سمات نموذجية لمشاكل اليسار المصري في الحركة السياسية والثقافية العربية٠ فقد انتمى إلى حركة شيوعية لم تنشأ في أحضان ﺍﻷﻣﻤﻴﺔ السوفيتية وكان عليها أن تطور نظرة عربية إلى الماركسية تأخذ في حسبانها طبيعة الظروف الموضوعية في مصر والبلاد العربية٠ وظلت البوصلة التي ترشد مساره هي الحاجات الفعلية للحركة الوطنية والديموقراطية وقاعدتها الشعبية في المسار نحو التحرر والتقدم٠ وقد يكون من السهل توزيع سيرته تحت عناوين أنشطته المتعددة ولكن هذه الطريقة ﺍﻟﺗﺠﺰﻳﺌﻴﺔ يمكن أن ﺗﻤﺰﻕ وحدة صورته الإنسانية، وجوهر هذه الصورة هو المعنى الخاص للسياسة عنده، وهو تشكيل المصير الإنساني من ﺃﺟﻞ ازدهار الطاقات والقدرات الحسية والعاطفية والفكرية والإرادية لأغلبية قوى العمل والثقافة في صراعها ضد العلاقات الخانقة للقدرات٠]
