Branding Cairo Airport
Cairo International Airport is a crucial asset for the capital of Egypt and a main portal for the outside world. Stemming from this important position is the idea of this project: to give this building the facelift it deserves when it comes to the visual language of it. A new logo was created in order to direct the visual identity that will result in a new signage system that relies on a black background to help cancel out any visual noise, and the white and yellow colours respectively representing the elements present on the signs. From this signage system comes a configuration that serves mainly the local illiterate population; it’s a multimedia system that relies on visuals and sounds rather than text, and it could expand to include potentially endless options.
