No News is an unconventional, interactive newspaper that alludes to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen while reminding viewers of the various media fallacies and propaganda techniques through illusions and games that push people to be more critical when reading everyday news. The Yemeni crisis is largely neglected by the media and so, to tackle this issue, two main points were taking into consideration: 1) Keeping the newspaper bilingual to increase the outreach and fill the gap of awareness without a language barrier. 2) Unlike everyday news papers this paper does not directly give people information, rather it motivates the readers to think to attain the information, which push- es the readers to exercise their minds, giving them an educational experience that goes beyond absorbing facts, teaching people how to handle information in news papers while avoiding propaganda techniques and media fallacies. The aim of this project goes beyond the information in the paper; the newspaper acts as an educational tool, where every spread has different themes designed according to the messages. It strives to keep the reader’s attention while conveying the information in the most suitable way, encouraging the readers to research and attain the skills to handle the information.
