Description or Abstract
Over the years, more and more AUC (American University in Cairo) students apply for a semester abroad and come back with their stories unheard although they had some of the most enriching experiences a person can have. As an exchange student myself, I can tell you that such a journey truly changes who you are and the way you think and view the world. It’s an emotional as much as it is a mental roller coaster ride that deserves people’s attention and is worth learning from. This audio documentary gives a chance for students who went on exchange for a semester abroad to tell their stories and share their struggles as well as triumphs of having lived alone in a foreign country, learning to be independent and accommodating their own needs. Throughout the documentary, it is revealed how such a struggle turned out to be one of the best experiences in those students' lives.
