Description or Abstract
This audio documentary aims to present the mindset of Egyptians regarding the idea of animal welfare and animal rights in Egypt. It aims to demonstrate how far behind the Egyptian government and people are in appreciating dogs. To depict such an idea, it includes stories from pet owners and animal protectors recounting the challenges they face in regards to their positions. In order to produce this Audio Documentary , I interviewed different sorts of people , all involved in the domain of pet protection or ownership - in order to get a bigger image of the problems. Their stories present a wide range of challenges that differ from a person to another. I have also added a Vox-Pops to demonstrate the general view of the Egyptian Population regarding the idea of helping animals in general. Interviews : - Amina Abaza - Founder of SPARE - Aya Abdel Salam - Egyptian Animal Rescuer - Farah Hamza - Egyptian Pet Owner
