Description or Abstract

Many food outlets introduced new cuisines and food project in Egypt throughout the last decade. Most of them succeeded and became big chains. This 9:17-minute documentary explore the stories of Mori Sushi, T.B.S. (The Bakery Shop), and Nino's (Cupcakes and Pastry Shop). The last decade has witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of food outlets and the introduction of new cuisines, foods, and dishes in Egypt. Some established these food outlets driven by mere passion, and others were also concerned about the revenue they may achieve. As a result of people's curiosity to experience what is unfamiliar and due to the exceptional interest Egyptians give to food, most of these food outlets have succeeded and many developed into big chains. Therefore, it is very interesting to know how they started, what they did when launching, and why they chose the cuisine or items they are offering. All that is covered in this 9:17 documentary presenting the examples of three successful food chains in Cairo, Egypt.
