Journey to Futurize Your Course
Abstract/Description
Our multimedia writing and production course is a foundational course for our three majors. To cater for an evolving media industry, we will include an artificial intelligence (AI) component to the course. Although the use of AI in the media today is limited and mostly experimental, industry leaders, and trends in bigger newsrooms, point towards it becoming an integral part of the idea generation, data gathering and content creation processes in the mid to long run. To equip our students for the future of the industry, our course will teach them how to use AI to create ideas, collect information and sift through data, as well as generate content—all while teaching them about the ethical dimensions involved.
