Abstract

[في ظل التسوية الملتبسة للحرب الأهلية اللبنانية (١٩٧٥-١٩٩٠) التي جعلت اللبنانيين يعيشون في شبه قطيعة مع تجاربهم العنيفة ، حاول العديد من الروائيين اللبنانيين كسر هذا الجمود باستحضار الحرب مراراً وتكراراً . وفي ظلّ ندرة النقد الأدبي حول موضوع الموتى-الأحياء في الرواية اللبنانية والدور الذي يمكن أن يلعبه في محاكاة شبح الماضي ، تتناول هذه المقالة موضوع «الشهادة» المتعلقة بموت الموتى-الأحياء في رواية ربيع جابر بيريتوس : مدينة تحت الأرض ، حيث تتطرّق إلى قدرة الخيال على إنتاج شهادات ذات مصداقية لأحداث مُفجعة في قَصّه الماورائي ، معيدةً طرح السؤال حول مصداقية الشهادات المفجعة عبر تقديم آلام الضحية بوصفها أولوية لفعل الشهادة . Following the controversial resolution of the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990), which left people suspended in a numb relation with their violent past, many novelists have tried to address repercussions of the war on individual experience. In the absence of scholarly works on the theme of the undead in the Lebanese novel and invoking ghosts of the past, this article investigates the act of testifying by the undead in Rabī‘ Jābir’s Bīrītūs: Madīna taḥt alarḍ, analyzing Jābir’s metafictional techniques to demonstrate the ability of fiction to produce credible trauma testimonies that prioritize the mitigation of pain over the accuracy of historical evidence.]
