Abstract

[This article examines Darwish's book-length poem Jidariyya (Mural) to explore the intersection of the legendary and the poetic, while also incorporating the existential. Jidariyya is considered a dense text built on several conversing voices. These voices confront the poet with a self simultaneously solitary and plural. Thus, the text constructs its legendary world highlighting the poet's name, ancient myths, and the question of immortality. It builds an imaginary universe through symbolic associations, legendary figures, and rituals. Hence, the text becomes a poem of (im)mortality bidding farewell to this world. تتناول هذه المقالة جدارية محمود درويش لتستكشف فيها تداخل الأسطوري بالشعري، وتضمين السؤال الوجودي في مكوناﺗﻬﺎ. اعتبرت جدارية نصاﹰ مكثفاﹰ يقوم على أصوات شتى تتحاور وتضع الشاعرأمام كيانه الفردي والجمعي في آنﹴ واحد. هكذا يبني النص عالمه من خلال استخدام العنصرالأسطوري اللغوي عبر أسطرة الاسم واللغة وسؤال الخلود، كما يبنيه من خلال الأشكال الرمزية الأسطورية مثل الرموز والشخصيات والطقوس وأسطرة الزمن والواقع، ليشكّل بذلك كله قصيدة الوداع الأسطوري .]
