Abstract

[تسلط هذه المقالة الضوء على الٳنتاج الأدبي لبعض الكاتبات العربيات المعاصرات في المهجر الأوروبي أو الأمريكي، وٳلى التركيز على رمزين أدبيين مستمرين ومُلحين: شهرزاد التي يُصر طيفها داٮٔماً وأبداً على الظهور في الأدب النسَّوي بين فينة وأخرى، وشبح الموءودة الذي يقضُّ مضاجع الذاكرة الفردية والجماعية للأديبات. وتطرح المقالة نظرية أدبية خاصة بكاتبات المهجر العربيات، مفادها أن الكاتبة العربية تكتب داٮٔماً بدافعٍ من قلق أو خوف الاندثار الذي يتولد في عقلها الباطن. وجدير بالذكر أن استرجاع ذاكرة الأدب الشفهي لشهرزاد وصدمة الوأد يشكلان عاملين أساسيين لتخطي خوف الاندثار الأدبي وتجاوز الصدمة من أجل خلق نتاٮٔج ٳيجابية من ماض سلبي . This article examines the literature of Arab women writers of the European and North American diaspora, showing how they use their engagement with Western societies to reclaim their voice not as exiles, but as continuing participants in their homelands' intellectual life. The article traces their double obsession with the motifs of the medieval Shahrazad and the pre-Islamic wa'd al-banat (female infanticide) as a fascinating, productive, and creative force in their writings. This article proposes a theory of Arab women's authorship and creates a paradigm for understanding the narrative strategies of Arab diaspora women writers. It shows how the writers move beyond the negative, haunting trauma of the wa'd, and into the positive awakening of the Arab female writer.]
