Description or Abstract

On the 12th of February in 2012, an event took place that shook Egypt, and was known as the Port-Said Massacre. The event took place in a match in the Egyptian League between the teams Al Ahly and Al Masry that erupted into chaos when thugs invaded the pitch and attacked players as well as Al Ahly Ultras. The massacre ended with 500 people injured and 72 murdered. While this event shocked the world, what was more shocking was the evidence of it being a prepared attack by the Egyptian state on the Egyptian Ultras. The most challenges I faced was getting people to speak out on what happened that day, without regard to the oppressive government. But eventually our interviewees provided the useful information. The music used was Buckethead Relaxing Mix, and all the narration was recorded at the Adam Center in AUC New Cairo campus, with professional recording mics and equipment.
