Around the world, smoking has always been a controversial habit that many people would debate about. However, The American University in Cairo made an initiative to ban smoking on all of its campuses by 2019. Join Omar El Behery as he uncovers the history of the smoking policy in the 100 years of AUC. This audio feature is about the history of the smoking policy at The American University in Cairo. The university implemented a smoking policy on all of their campuses, in order to be tobacco free in 2019. Therefore, Omar El Behery decided to investigate about the history of this controversial topic throughout the 100 years of AUC. El Behery managed to do his investigation through research and interviews with members of the AUC community who know about the smoking policy from the 70's till today.
