The Center for Translation Studies presents an interdisciplinary lecture by Dr. Rana Hisham Issa, a postdoctoral fellow at University of Oslo’s Department of Cultural Studies and Oriental Languages. Visiting Cairo all the way from Norway, Dr. Rana presented her research on the translation of the Bible to Arabic during the Nahda period, comparing different versions of translation and the historical context of each.
