The Center for Translation Studies presents an interdisciplinary lecture by Dr. Marilyn Plumlee, associate professor of linguistics at the American University in Cairo. In a lecture entitled “Egypt’s Linguistic Landscape: Tokens of its History and Trajectory,” Dr. Plumlee discussed the diversity of semiotics displayed throughout urban spaces in Egypt.
