Publishing Policy

Arab Media & Society is committed maintaining and improving our practices in compliance with the standards of scholarly publishing. We take seriously the importance of ethical practices in academic research, and have established guidelines to help prevent and identify misconduct. These include mechanisms for prevention of conflict of interest, a thorough system of double-blind peer-review for all scholarly articles, and a committee to handle suspected cases of misconduct including duplication, data falsification, plagiarism, and issues of authorship.

The views and opinions expressed in this publication are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the position of Arab Media & Society, the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism, the editorial team, the Editorial and Advisory Board, or the American University in Cairo.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns related to our content or publishing practices.

Review Process

Arab Media & Society follows the double-blind process for review. Once a manuscript is deemed suitable for review, authors may expect to receive feedback within four weeks, although times may vary. Should a manuscript be recommended for publication with modifications, authors are expected to resend the amended manuscript within one to two weeks. The exact deadline will be set by the editor. Once a manuscript has been accepted and approved for publication, authors will be notified.

Book Reviews

The journal also accepts book review submissions. To be considered, the publication date of the book must be within three years of the submission date. Rights for Authors

It is a condition of publication in the Journal that authors grant an exclusive license to Arab Media & Society.
