Abstract/Description

In the year 2041, students enrolled at the American University in Cairo will have the opportunity to enroll in an upper division course which is offered as part of the Core Curriculum in the Academy of Liberal Arts. Despite being a rigorous course, students will learn much and explore new frontiers (with the help of their international partners) that have not yet been explored as such. In 2015, the United Nations’ General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for 17 Sustainable Development goals, yet few will have been achieved in 2041. Therefore, the course designers have utilized some of the UN sustainable goals as a springboard from which this course stems.
