Abstract

تتناول هذه المقالة مفهوم الأختية كما ظهر في أربع روايات تنتمي إلى ما يعرف بروايات صداقات الإناث، وتمثل الموجة النِّسْوية الثالثة، وهي: بنات الرياض لرجاء الصانع (٢٠٠٥)، ونون لسحر الموجي (٢٠٠٦)، وبداية لجولي كورتني سوليڤان (٢٠١٠)، وأوقف الساعة لأليسون ميرسر (٢٠١٢). تستكشف المقالة الأختية وعلاقة الصداقة بين النساء على مستوى المضمون والشكل الفني، حيث كان لهما دور كبير في تشكيل هوية المرأة وصورتها الذاتية. وتوضِّح المقالة كيف وظفت الكاتبات عناصر السرد للدلالة على قوة الأختية، وذلك من خلال تحليل التشكيل الفني للزمان، متمثلاً في اللازمة الزمنية اللغوية، والمكان السردي، متمثلاً في البيت الذي بدا وكأنه يضم أفرد أسرة واحدة.

This article examines the concept of sisterhood in four female friendship novels that pertain to third-wave feminism: Banāt al-Riyāḍ by Rajā’ al-Ṣāni‘ (2005), Nūn by Saḥar al-Mūjī (2006), Commencement by Julie Courtney Sullivan (2010), and Stop the Clock by Alison Mercer (2012). The article traces the relationship among women in the novels to highlight how it shapes their identities and self-images. It explores the authors’ employment of narrative elements that denote the strength of sisterhood: time, represented through recurring temporal motifs, and space, represented by houses that bring together characters in family-like settings.
