Abstract

The case addresses the story of Eng. Moataz ElMaria, the CEO of Maria Co. for Trade and Industry, who is facing many challenges related to manufacturing and administration of the large facility he is running in 10th of Ramadan city. It describes the evolution of the company since it began under the command of his father, and how the portfolio of products increased through the years, as well as its target markets. There is also a complete description of the industry and its competitive forces. The case considers the need to take strategic decisions in order to solidify the company’s position and to grasp the current opportunities.
