Abstract

[.تتناول هذه المقالة العلاقة بين التاريخ والرواية، وهما حقلان معرفيان يقومان على تمثيل الواقع، وإن كان لكل منهما مدخل مختلف. فالتاريخ يعتمد أساساً على الوثائق المستخلصة من الوقائع، أما الرواية فتستقي مادتها من التخييل، ومن ثم تعيد تشكيل الواقع. تغيرت العلاقة بين التاريخ والرواية عبر العصور؛ ففي منتصف القرن العشرين ظهرت مدارس تاريخية بدّلت المدخل التاريخي التقليدي، منها مدرسة الحوليات الفرنسية، ومدرسة التاريخ الجزئي الإيطالية، ومدرسة التاريخ من أسفل البريطانية. تتناول المقالة تطور هذه المدراس التي اهتمت بتاريخ الطبقات السفلى في المجتمع، وتظهر انعكاسها على الرواية من خلال تحليل موجز لروايتي الطبل الصفيح لجونتر جراس ويوم واحد في حياة إيڤان دينيسوڤيتش لألكسندر سولجينتسين This article traces the relation between history and the novel. Both approach reality from different angles: While history relies on documents and recorded incidents, the novel reshapes reality, drawing on imagination. The relation between the two has recently witnessed serious revisioning. In the mid-twentieth century, several schools dealing with the lower classes of society emerged, such as the Annales School in France, the Microhistory method in Italy, and the History from Below approach in Britain. This article highlights the effects of such approaches on the novel, offering a brief analysis of Günter Grass’s The Tin Drum and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.]
