Abstract

[This article provides a reading of The Diary of Anne Frank that explores its narrative complexities and dialogical nature with a focus on Frank's textual construct Kitty, her primary confidante and only friend within traumatic circumstances. Frank's friendship with this imagined addressee functions as a life-sustaining relationship that makes survival imaginable. Kitty embodies human qualities which Frank misses in the people around her, and the article approaches her as a counterpart that mirrors Frank's desire for human companionship. This urges the reader to accept the role of Kitty in a post-textual environment and to become an active recipient of Frank's letters. تقدم هذه المقالة قراءة ليوميات آن فرانك، تتناول تعقيداتها السردية وطبيعتها الحوارية، مركزةً على كيتي، تلك المتلقية المتخيلة نصياً من قبل فرانك، التي تصبح كاتمة أسرارها الرئيسية وصديقتها الوحيدة في ظل ظروفها المفجعة. وتمثل الصداقة مع تلك المتلقية المتخيَّلة علاقة تمكّن الكاتبة من مواجهة الفجيعة وتجعل من بقائها على قيد الحياة ممكناً. فكيتي تمثل سمات إنسانية تفتقدها فرانك في واقعها، ومن هنا تتناولها المقالة باعتبارها نظيراً يعكس افتقار فرانك للصحبة الإنسانية، مما يحفّز القارئ على التماهي مع كيتي، ليصبح بدوره متلقياً فعالاً لخطابات فرانك .]
