Abstract
[Constructed by Alan Rickman and Katherine Viner out of various entries from Rachel Corrie's diaries and e-mails from Gaza, "My Name Is Rachel Corrie" uncovered a Palestine that has been methodically shielded from Western eyes by the corporate media, and brought the issue of censorship into open critical debate following its cancellation in New York. At the heart of the controversy surrounding "My Name Is Rachel Corrie" is not only the energetic intertwinement of the elements that define and shape its nature but primarily those that constitute its genesis.. تكشف مسرحية اسمي راشيل كوري ـ التي قام بتأليفها ألان ريكمان وكاثرين ڨاينر معتمدين على مجموعة من المداخلات في مذكرات راشيل ورساﺋلها الٳلكترونية المكتوبة في غزة ـ عن فلسطين تم تجهيلها عن قصد من قبل اﺍﻟﻤﺆسسات الٳعلامية في الغرب. وقد أدى منع المسرحية من العرض من قبل ورشة نيويورك المسرحية ٳلى كثير من الجدل فيما يتعلق بموضوع الرقابة على الفن. وفي قلب الجدل المحيط بمسرحية اسمي راشيل كوري ليس فقط التشابك الفعال بين العناصر التي ﺗﻌﺮّﻑ جوهرها وتشكّله، بل أيضاً تلك العناصر التي تكّون نشأتها في حد ذاتها .]
