Yadawy is a brand dedicated to making furniture combined with handmade carpets. Egyptian handmade carpets are one of Egypt’s many famous art crafts however; unfortunately, it is a dying art. Therefore, it is important to keep this art alive and make sure that people know that this talent still exists. The purpose of this project is to revive Egyptian handmade carpets in a new and innovative way. The designs of each piece are originally photographs taken from places around Egypt and inspired from scenery and travel. The designs were taken to the Sakkara Carpet School and given to the professional weavers, who transformed the photographs into handmade carpets.
