The president jailed my grandfather.

This is a profile audio feature on my grandfather, Gamel El-Tobgy, on when he was jailed by the President of Egypt, Gamal Abd El Nassar back in 1969. Back in '69 Egypt was preparing for the Attrition War (A.K.A Six of October War) against Israel. At the time the government was trying to nationalize the country to win the War. The country was struggling thus, the government started forcefully claiming; gold coins, Egyptian pounds, land, and any other monetary assets from the civilians. My Grandfather along with many other citizens were thrown in jail and were only released once Nassar died and the inauguration of Anwar Saddat was official.
