This project is produced for the for the Audio Production course in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at The American University in Cairo. The course is taught by Professor Kim Fox. Hanady Omran is the teaching assistant. In this project, we seek to document a time period of our lives, to make the listeners know more about the lives of the members of the AUC community. Listen to hear about what I usually do in the weekends, and find out how I was able to go through the vast amount of tasks that I had to do. Transcript:…/edit?usp=sharing All of the NAT sounds were recorded using a Samsung A7 phone, and the narration used in this audio was recorded in a studio. Sound effects credit: Unicornaphobist…ist/sounds/398193/ The #AUCdiaries project is an oral history project that documents the life of the AUC community. The project was initiated by Kim Fox in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JRMC) along with Hoda Mostafa, Maha Bali and Nadine Aboulmagd, all from the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT). The bulk of the content that was created for the #AUCdiaries podcasts was completed by students as part of AUC courses. As such, this is both a digital pedagogy project, since students learn while producing, and a digital scholarship project, since the output is considered to be digital scholarship.
