Description or Abstract
In March 2016, The Department of Arab and Islamic Civilizations was honored to host Bassam Tibi, professor emeritus of International Relations in the University of Göttingen, as the 23rd Bayard Dodge Distinguished Visiting Professor. Tibi gave two public lectures in Oriental Hall at the Tahrir campus in addition to giving a talk at the AUC Middle East Studies Center. Additionally he visited a graduate seminar taught by Mohamed Serag, professor in the Department of Arab and Islamic Civilizations.
