The Department of Arab and Islamic Civilizations is honored to host Dr. Doris Behrens-Abouseif, Professor Emerita and Former Nasser D. Khalili Chair at SOAS, University of London, with the generous support of the Cleveland H. Dodge foundation. Dr. Behrens-Abouseif will deliver two public lectures during her visit to Cairo as the 2017 Bayard Dodge Visiting Professor: On Sunday, 3 December, Dr. Behrens-Abouseif will deliver a lecture entitled “Islamic Geometry: The Evolution of a Legacy” at 5:00 pm in Oriental Hall on the AUC Tahrir Campus. On Monday, 4 December, Dr. Behrens-Abouseif will deliver a lecture entitled The Mamluk Book Market at 1:00 pm in Waleed Hall on the AUC New Cairo Campus.
