The Center for Translation Studies presents an interdisciplinary lecture by Emad Abou Ghazi, the former minister of culture and a professor of archival studies in the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University. In his lecture entitled "Sculpting Egypt: Mokhtar between Revolution and the Visual Arts", Dr. Emad discusses the issue of translating understandings of the 1919 revolution through Egyptian artist Mahmoud Mokhtar's visual art.
